For nearly fifty years, Rome Batchelor believed what so many network marketers have been taught to believe:
If you want greater success, become a better recruiter.
Make more calls. Talk to more people. Find a better company. Find a better product. Work harder. Stay positive. Never quit.
For decades, Rome followed much of that advice.
And eventually, he did achieve success.
But there was a problem.
Too many of the people around him weren't succeeding.
Good people would get excited, join a business, work hard for a while — and disappear.
Teams would grow and then shrink.
Leaders would leave.
Companies would change.
People who genuinely wanted something more for their lives would eventually become discouraged and walk away.
And after nearly half a century in network marketing, Rome began asking a question that would ultimately change everything:
What if the problem wasn't the people?
What if millions of people weren't failing because they lacked ambition, discipline, or desire?
What if the framework itself needed to change?
The Day Everything Changed
For years, Rome believed the answer was becoming a better recruiter — or finding the right company or product.
He was wrong.
The breakthrough came when he stopped trying to become a better recruiter.
He adjusted his mindset.
He started questioning some of the assumptions he had accepted for decades.
And eventually, he began developing an entirely different business framework.
That was when things started changing — for the better.
Instead of asking:
"How do I recruit this person?"
He began thinking:
"How can I serve this person?"
Instead of trying to convince everyone to join:
Qualify — never close. Select — never sell.
Instead of chasing people through the water, he began thinking about something much simpler:
"It's easier to catch fish with the bait they love than by chasing them through the water."
And gradually, a different way of building began to emerge.
What If That Day Could Become Yours?
Maybe you've experienced some of the same frustrations.
Maybe you're tired of chasing prospects.
Maybe you're tired of rejection.
Maybe you've built teams only to watch them disappear.
Maybe you've changed companies and had to start over.
Or perhaps you're simply wondering:
"Shouldn't this be more enjoyable than this?"
That's the question behind Dead Downlines Don't Lie! How My Network Marketing Went From Gloom to Boom!
It isn't another book telling you to work harder.
It's about questioning the assumptions that have frustrated good people throughout the network marketing profession — and exploring whether there might be a better way.
A way built around:
- Relationships rather than transactions
- Leadership rather than pressure
- Selection rather than selling
And ultimately, building a business that supports the life you want to live instead of consuming it.
Sometimes the Biggest Breakthrough Comes From Doing Something Different
Because sometimes the biggest breakthrough doesn't come from doing more of what you've always done.
Sometimes it begins when you're finally willing to do something different.
What if today became that day for you?
Are you ready to enjoy your business — and your life — again?
Dream again. Build differently. Enjoy your life.
